A Little About Me

For the sake of anonymity, I intend to omit my name and other very specific details about myself. However, nothing is more impersonal than not introducing yourself. So, you can call me E.

I'm a single, 23 year old woman living in the Midwest. I work full-time at a retail store I'm sure you've heard of. We'll call it Yal-Mart. It pays the bills. I'm also a full-time student at a mid-sized university more or less in the middle of no where. I'm studying Psychology and have about a million different life paths I want to take once I complete my undergrad work (a time that is inching eerily close).

I have a brilliant and very spoiled Siamese cat named Leonardo. He's opinionated and moody, but so am I so I can't fault him for that. He's my little furry child. (In case you haven't noticed, I am one of those creepy talks-about-my-cat-like-he's-a-person people.) I also love photography and tote my camera around with me where ever I go. I am a coffeeholic and a chocoholic. I'm also a wine enthusiast, but not an alcoholic, to clarify. I love to read. And I'm obsessed with almost anything self-help. Which leads me to the purpose of this blog: I have a love/hate, but always present, relationship with diets, dieting, food, and exercise.

Like so many other bloggers out there, I never imagined I would be creating and maintaining a personal blog. If I had to guess, it was probably because I didn't really imagine I had anything to say on a regular basis that would warrant me sharing it with the general public. Well, now I've decided I do.

The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and feelings about diet (the noun, not the verb), fitness, and general physical and mental health. I'd also like to read about other people's thoughts and feelings concerning these topics. And of course, there will undoubtedly be posts about my life and other ramblings littering this blog as well.

I hope to help other people with their journeys to weight loss, either through tips and ideas or just plain old inspiration and support. And I'll be looking to you guys too, because I definitely know I'll need it!

-E
